Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on the 10th of March 1949. She is an American investor, speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company shortly after. Corcoran is one of ABC's first Shark investors has been part of every episode of Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts as of February of 2020. The biggest deal she signed was her investment of $350,000 in Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran, who was the second child of 10 from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence was her mother. She was an excellent homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was always changing jobs during Corcoran's career. In times, her family relied on deliveries of food for free from a local grocer. Corcoran says that her father was a drunk who was rude to her mother and condescension. Corcoran was a struggling pupil throughout her schooling. Later, she discovered she was dyslexic. Corcoran was educated in a Catholic elementary and then started high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran was proficient in several classes during her freshman year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
