Krystal Marie, born on November 24, 1981 is an American political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate for the US Senate, as well as a TV presenter on MSNBC. She was frequent contributor to The Huffington Post and co-host of The Hill’s Rising, along with Saagar Enti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear that they would leave the show in the month of May 2021 in order to begin Breaking Points, a new independent project with Krystal and Saagar. Ball credits her interest in politics due to the fact that she became a mother in the 2008 presidential primaries and also was able to watch the US presidential elections while in Jordan. She observed how it affected the people in that country and gained an appreciation for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee in Virginia's 1st Congressional District for Congress in 2010, losing to Rob Wittman, who is the incumbent Republican. She hosted The Cycle, a MSNBC television show that she co-hosted from June 2012 through August 2015. She founded the People's House Project, an action committee working for Democratic causes in May 2017.
