Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a political contributor to CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and also as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30, 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and stayed through the end of the Obama administration.
